Collection: Dany Paragouteva
Dany was born and raised in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She started drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil. By the age of seven she had five solo exhibitions in her hometown. Fairy tales from around the world served as her inspiration and she drew her way into adventures of her own creation.
She moved to the United States and went on to graduate from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She earned a B.F.A. in Illustration. She regularly exhibits her work in group gallery shows and art fairs.
Growing up in an old city with reading fairy tales as a favorite pastime, Dany now leans into the surreal and fantastical depictions in her paintings. She loves gestural compositions, flowing lines, and connection with nature. With her work she seeks to capture the atmosphere of her memories, escape the everyday and reconnect with wonder.
